A pastor is like the conductor of an orchestra. Just as the conductor must know the piece and enable each musician to perform to his or her best so that the listener hears what the composer intended, so the pastor must know the Gospel and enable each parishioner to live the gospel to the best of his or her ability so that everyone can experience the community Jesus intended us to have.
