Faith formation education programs prepare adults and children for sacraments, provide opportunities to deepen faith, and enable parishioners to share and learn in small groups. For Adults

Faith Sharing Groups and Small Church Communities
Parishioners gather in small groups to share the word of God in their daily life. Topics and meeting times vary throughout the year. Notices are posted in the weekly parish bulletin. For more information contact Carl Bortner at 382-3155.

Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Bible Study and Fellowship
This group explores who we are called to be as Catholic men in the world today. By meeting weekly for scripture study, discussion, and prayer, we strive to help each other grow into the husbands, fathers, workers, citizens, and disciples that God calls us to be. We meet from 6:45-8:45am on Wednesday mornings in the Faith Formation Library in the Olive Tree Building. Baptism Preparation for Households with Small Children
A series of classes for families with children from infant to 6 years old interested in preparing a child for the Sacrament of Baptism. Parent(s) must be registered members of the parish. Children 7 yrs and up seeking baptism must be enrolled in RCIA adapted for children. RCIA is a 2 year process culminating in the celebration of baptism, confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil. Engaging Spirituality

A long-term (21 sessions) educational process enabling parishioners to develop community building skills and improve life within our community and world. JustFaith employs discussion, prayer, retreats, and hands-on experiences to provide a context in which participants can grow in their commitment to care for the vulnerable and to become advocates for justice. Retreat Opportunities (seasonal)
Typically held over a weekend at regional retreat facilities, these gatherings of small parish groups are planned around areas of interest to parishioners. Notices are published in the weekly parish bulletin. For more information, contact Fr. Larry Hayes at 682-3449, x259.

 
For Children

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Faith formation approach for children aged 3 to 12 years. Rooted in Sacred Scripture, liturgy, and the educational philosophy and method of Maria Montessori, weekly sessions are held in a specially prepared space called the Atrium. Going to Mass with adults is part of this formation. The children are divided into three age groups. Children's Liturgy of the Word
Every Sunday during 9:30 am Mass the Gospel is adapted for and shared with children ages 3yrs – 1st grade. It is a break-out session in the church in order for children to experience the Word at a level they can understand. No registration is required. Sacramental Preparation
Preparation for children and their families to celebrate First Reconciliation and First Communion. Children 7 years and up who have not yet been baptized enroll in RCIA adapted for children.
