Fr. Dan, a native of Walpole, Mass., was professed as a Franciscan friar in 1972 and ordained a priest in 1976. He served as a campus minister in Boston’s Back Bay until 1981. After earning his doctorate in history at the University of Notre Dame in 1985, he joined the faculty of Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora, N.Y., where he served as rector from 1988-1990. From 1990-1999, he was director of post-novitiate formation for his Franciscan province and served from 1993-2002 as a provincial councilor. He became president of the Washington Theological Union in 1999 and served for six years.
When there's spare time, Fr. Dan enjoys reading, an occasional movie, an over-night to the "outer banks" or the mountains, and day trips to local points of interest. North Carolina is a pretty fascinating place!

Fr. Steve was born in Boston, MA and grew up in nearby Burlington. He came to know the Franciscans through a year spent volunteering at St. Francis Inn, a soup kitchen in Philadelphia. This experience was profound for Steve and drew him towards the Franciscans. He made his solemn profession of vows in 2000 and was ordained in 2001, both at St. Francis Church in New York City. He received a Masters in Divinity from the Washington Theological Union in Washington, D.C. in 2001. After a year and a half at St. Paul’s Church in Wilmington, Delaware, Fr. Steve arrived at Immaculate Conception in May of 2003. Fr. Steve has found Durham to be a great place to live and you can often find him enjoying a book at the Regulator Bookshop, a coffee at the Mad Hatter, or a movie at the Carolina Theater. He also enjoys activities such as bike riding on the American Tobacco Trail and skiing and hiking with family and friends.

Fr. Bill arrived in Durham in 2008 and has been a professed friar since 1990. Since ordination in 1995 he has worked in three parishes on the East Coast with large Hispanic populations. Bill is a mid-Hudson Valley New York native. Born in 1965 into an Irish family, he is the oldest of six brothers and sisters. He first met the friars in college at Saint Bonaventure University in Western New York. Parish life at Immaculate Conception Church reminds him of the growth and diversity of the Early Church recounted in the Acts of the Apostles.
