Volunteer Opportunities
Giving Tree
We are looking for someone who can help Coordinate the Giving Tree. We do it for families in need in our parish and get a list of items their children would like for Christmas. We make tags listing these gifts. Once the gifts are brought in, they are organized by the family and distributed. We organized this project for many years (here and at other parishes and have always loved it). We are looking for one or two people to organize this project. Working on this project makes your heart swell as you see how people in our parish respond. If you are interested in coordinating this or want more information, contact Margie.
Christmas Ornament Making
This is scheduled for Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Breakfast will be prepared by the Knights of Columbus and then we will make Christmas ornaments (one for our own trees and then one that we will donate to Meals on Wheels). We want our children to have some fun while learning the importance of giving!
We will need lots of volunteers. 5 especially, we need people to be in charge of making one ornament, teaching the children how to do it, and getting the supplies for that ornament (you will be reimbursed for the supplies you purchase). If you would like to get involved, contact Margie.
