Coordinator of Scheduling & Baptism
Position Description:
The Coordinator of Scheduling (CS&B) is a full-time, hourly position whose primary responsibility is maintenance of the parish calendar by overseeing the scheduling process at the parish. This CS&B is capable of handling multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously.
The Coordinator of Scheduling (CS&B) is a full-time, hourly position whose primary responsibility is maintenance of the parish calendar by overseeing the scheduling process at the parish. This CS&B is capable of handling multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously.
Key responsibilities / day-to-day job functions:
- Responsible for maintaining the parish calendar through scheduling. This person will approve submitted events, edit and cancel events through facility scheduler program – training provided.
- Maintain the guidelines re: scheduling.
- Maintain messages on the phone system (regarding Holiday Mass schedule and closures)
- Oversees the scheduling of Baptism Classes and Baptisms in English and Spanish
- Create Baptisms Certificates
- Oversee the records for Baptism.
- Oversees the scheduling of Quinceaneras
- Create schedules for door people (monthly work schedules and weekly calendar at their work site)
- Create a monthly schedule for the maintenance supervisor.
- Provide cover at the reception desk on occasion.
- Create work opportunities that can be delegated to volunteers and oversee their work.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Minimum level of Education: high school graduate
- Minimum amount of related work experience: 1 year.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, and Excel
- Ability to multi-task and organize deadlines
- Practicing Catholic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to work as a part of a team
- Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with other parish staff and priests.
Working Conditions
