Growing thru Grief
Each year Growing thru Grief offers two six-week “Introduction to Grief” series, one in the spring and one in the fall. This year, Betty Morton will lead the fall series, titled “Mindfully Caring for the Whole of Who We Are in Grief.” The series begins on September 6 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1200 W. Cornwallis. Meetings run from 4 to 6. After the presentation we break into small groups for conversation and sharing, then return to the large group for a closing. Note that the first time you come, you’ll need to show proof of Covid vaccination and booster(s).
Betty Morton is one of the co-founders of Growing Thru Grief. She is a leadership, life and spiritual coach, with a background in law, has organized and facilitated grief support groups in church, hospital and group coaching settings. She has also been a facilitator for GtG.
In this series, Betty will focus on holistic self-care during grief. She will share tips on how to mindfully care for the whole of who you are as you mourn – mind, body, heart, soul and relationships. Betty will discuss the stories we tell ourselves in grief and explore practices that can help you live more fully despite your losses.
