Immaculate Conception offers numerous social justice and direct service/charitable programs to help those in need during the holiday season. We are extremely grateful to all the ministries, staff members, and parishioners who come together during this time to help organize these events, especially in stewardship, youth ministry, and organizations like the Knights of Columbus.

THANKSGIVING BASKETS
Every Thanksgiving Immaculate Conception collects food and grocery gift cards to help persons and families in need in our parish community.
Thanks to all those who donated turkeys, hams, food cards, and responded to our request for canned foods. Your generosity helped our parish deliver Thanksgiving food to 27 families in our community! Your generosity provided families with a nice Thanksgiving meal and food for an entire week!
ADVENT GIVING TREE

Every year our parishioners generously donate Christmas gifts for people in need from our parish as part of our Advent Giving Tree program!
The Giving Tree will be in the gathering space starting the weekend of November 23-24th. Please take a tag and return your wrapped gift (with the tag attached) no later than December 15th.

CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT MAKING
On Saturday, December 7th, from 8:30-12 pm, our annual Christmas Ornament Making event will take place in Fellowship Hall. If you have any questions or are willing to help at this event, please contact Margie.

Our parish's annual Christmas Ornament Making event has an important social justice dimension! For every ornament the children create to bring home for their Christmas Tree, they will make one to donate to Meals on Wheels - to help spread some holiday spirit. The children have fun while learning the importance of giving!

COAT DRIVE/DONATIONS
The Knights of Columbus, Council 3390, sponsor a coat drive/collection most years during the holiday season. During the weekend of November 16 & 17 and November 23 & 24 they will be collecting NEW COATS in the gathering space. They are hoping for new coats but will be accepting gently used coats too. Please put any coats in the labeled box in the gathering space. All winter coats are donated to various charities by the Knights of Columbus. The coats will be distributed Monday, November 25 so people will have them by Thanksgiving.
