Stewardship Renewal

We are Called
As Christians, we are called, by reason of our baptism, to model our lives on Jesus Christ. To the extent that we give ourselves away, we become one with Him.
We are Gifted
Stewardship is recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God. Everything we have and everything we do is a result of some gift that God has placed into our hands.  Stewardship is living a life of gratitude – taking the time every day to recognize the gifts that God has given and to be grateful for them.
We are Sent
Giving of our treasure is challenging…"How will I afford it?"  Stewardship is based on trust that God will provide and fill our lives with joy that I've not yet found!

NOW IS THE TIME TO STEP UP

At Immaculate Conception, we believe that stewardship is a response to the abundant blessings we receive from God. As you consider your what your response will be for next year, please consider taking a Step Up to the next level of giving.
Proverbs 3:9 reminds us to honor the Lord by giving back from the first and best of what we have. Just as the people of Israel offered their First Fruits as a sign of gratitude, we are invited to offer a portion of our income to support the work of our parish. One way we can look at this is presented in the “First Fruits” table—start by giving the first hour of work pay weekly.

In Leviticus 27:30 we are called to offer a tenth of our blessings – the biblical tithe-- to the Lord. In gratitude for God’s provision, we invite you to consider how your financial support can reflect this sacred tradition by referencing the “Biblical Tithe” table. For example, if you are presently giving 2% to the parish, please consider giving 3% in the coming year. Also, please consider setting your eventual goal at the “tithe” level of 10% (e.g., 5% to the parish and 5% to Diocesan and other charities). It may take a few years to get to that level, but it is a worthy and rewarding goal to have as you consider your stewardship journey.

Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness in whichever way you decide to Step Up.
