What are Spiritual Gifts?
- They are special abilities given to Christians to enable us to be powerful channels of God’s love and presence in the world.
- We do not choose our own gifts but rather receive these gifts from God.
- When used, these gifts bear results that are above and beyond our natural abilities.
- When we use these gifts, we feel energized. We feel that we’ve found our “place” and “fit”.
How do we know what Spiritual Gifts we have been given?
- It is through the process of discernment that we identify our spiritual gifts.
- The Spiritual Gifts Inventory is a very useful on-line tool to help us identify our spiritual gifts.
How do I take the Spiritual Gifts Inventory?

- Give yourself about 15-20 minutes to take the inventory.
- It includes 100 statements that assess your relative strengths for gifts in twenty different areas.
- When you are finished you will be presented with a “My Score” summary table. Note that you are the only recipient of this summary - it is all yours to act upon.
