Eucharist
The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is the source and summit of Christian life.
Young people are admitted to Eucharist after completing the sacramental preparation process, which is a two year process. Children prepare for First Communion through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS). Preparation does not start before first grade.
Youth (Grades 6-12) prepare for their First Communion through Youth Ministry.
Children and youth aged 8 or older who haven't been baptized must also participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, adapted for children (RCIA for Children).
Adults are admitted to Eucharist after completing the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
